The year of 2009, the new decade

So apparently it’s the end of the year for another year! 2009, some people are calling it the end of a decade. And well yes it sort of is isn’t it, but the main thing is another year is coming to an end and a lot of things have happened and not just in my own life.

The world lost a jackson, more terror threats on planes, one of the greatest wrestling podcast’s came to an end sort of anyway, good game lost it’s hardcore fanbase, shows being cut left and right.

Instead of me writting down a lot of the things that happened in the Television industry i think you should head over to http://www.tvtonight.com.au for a year in review in the australian television market. It has all the highs and lows you need to know.

Not only did a lot of things happen in the television world but also in the video game industry as well. Australia’s #1 Video game show lost of the co-creators Junglist (Ray), in what’s being called the end of good game, which is highly unlikely due to the show being on next year also with a show for kids on the new ABC3. Good game is the best video game show australia is currently producing.

It’s not hard to go and look on the internet and not find one website that isn’t showing a year in review, so i guess i’m going to have to cut this short. I’ve got a lot to do before the end of the year in about 20 hours time.

Sorry to cut this blog short, i didn’t realize on how cut i was on time so please Have a good new year and all that jazz and hopefully i can get that podcast up and running yeah!

    2009

Wow… what a year it has been!

A year of heart aches, belly laughs, tears, joy and sorrow.

Some of the things that stick out in my mind from this year, bear with me… there might be quite a list:

Seattle (twice), a broken heart, engagements GA-LORE, falling in love with teaching, college graduation, my best friends wedding, my friends being scattered all over the USA, getting a job in Japan, Saige coming to visit, Hannah coming to visit, going to visit Saige, going to three new states (Washington, Wisconsin, and New Mexico), working at the bux, rebuilding friendships, and of course… MJ’s death and the never ending news coverage.

These things were some of the best memories of 2009 and some of the worst. I know that 2010 will be an excellent year and a year that I will never forget. I am excited for 2010 to arrive but I am also nervous at the same time. I know that God is going to be with me in this next year and I cannot wait to continue trusting Him in everything I do. I will be needing His trust and your prayers as I start preparing to move to Japan in just 37 short days.

What is your favorite memory of 2009?

    SickDamage.com's 1ST ANNUAL DEATH POOL 20X!

Apparently 2009 was the worst year ever to be a celebrity… with the deaths of the sweet prince Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, Steve McNair (NFL player for you anime losers who have never left the house and have never played organized sports) Brittany Murphy, and Billy May’s beard…. needless to say it was a rough year to be famous. This has sparked me to start the first ever SICKDAMAGE.COM DEATH POOL 20X!

Official rules, prizes… and MC DEATH BEAR’S picks under the cut!

This is how the game works…. respond to this post with 5 celebrities who you think will die in 20X. The person with the most correct picks will win a SickDamage.com t-shirt and massive amounts of bragging rights… if enough people enter this I’d even consider making a custom championship belt that I will mail to you!

MC DEATH BEAR’S 20X DEATH POOL PICKS!

    1: Hulk Hogan
Reasoning: Don’t get me wrong I completely love the Hulkster. But he’s in his late 50’s, he is divorced, his wife is now dating a 19 year old, and his kids suck. This is all the makings for another Chris Benoit

    2: Clint Eastwood
Reasoning: The good, the bad, and soon to be dead. Eastwood is tough as nails but man he is pretty fucking old…. 20X will be there year where he ain’t so lucky punk.

    3: Carrot Top
Reasoning: Well… this is just wishful thinking

    4: Shaq
Reasoning: He is old and over 7 foot…. that never lasts to long. Ask Andre the Giant

    5: Lady GaGa
Reasoning: I’m going to guess… MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF COKE.

    Wednesday 23rd December 2009

Merry Christmas, blog reader. I hope the festive season brings you nothing but joy and happiness. Unless you hate me and the blog – which of course begs the question as to why you’re reading it anyway.

With regard to the Christmas lights issue which I raised last week, I don’t have any objection to people putting some bright decorations on the outside of the house. It’s just that some go way beyond the acceptable boundaries of taste and respectability.

    + + +

    Utterly chav-tastic

    + + +

I was in B&Q the other day and a lady in front of me in the queue was buying a Christmas tree. The shop assistant said: “Are you going to put this up yourself?”

Before allowing her to answer, I said: “No, she’s going to put it in the lounge…” Neither the lady or the staff member was sharp enough to appreciate the humour.

    + + +

    Go on. Speak. Me? How?

    + + +

Although I’m not working at Pussycats on Christmas Eve, I will be there quite a bit over the festive season:

    Sat 26th Boxing Day Fun

    Sun 27th Costas’ Birthday Bash

This should be lively as Monday is a Bank Holiday and therefore most people will be out on the lash as they won’t be working the next day.

    Thu 31st New Year’s Eve 2009 into 2010

Fri 1st Jan New Year’s Day

    Sat 2nd Jan as normal

See the latest photos in the gallery at the world famous dj wanker website and see the official club pictures here.

    + + +

    Is that a pearl necklace?

    + + +

Get into the festive spirit with these Christmas videos

From 1984, one of my all time favourite records – The Power of Love by Frankie Goes To Hollywood. I still have the 7″ vinyl in a gatefold sleeve. It was £1.50 well spent.

    + + +

Three years later, this wonderful collaboration made number two in the charts. The late, great Kirsty MacColl joined The Pogues in producing the spine-tingling Fairytale of New York. “You scumbag, you maggot, you cheap lousy faggot, Happy Christmas your arse I pray God it’s our last.”

    + + +

I’ll be surprised if I get one present this Christmas but I’m cool with that. I never know what to ask people to buy me and, in all honesty, I prefer to give than receive. In terms of presents, that is.

So what would be a nice treat from Santa??

    + + +

Santa opens his sack once a year

    + + +

I didn’t have a football match to report on last Saturday so just chilled out in the afternoon at my weekend retreat in Telford. The landlord was in charge of the remote control so we got a random selection of programmes…

    * Have I Got News For You – very funny
    * Chuckle Vision – what the f***?
    * Friday Night with Jonathan Ross – excellent
    * Live At The Apollo – decent
    * EastEnders – wrist slashing rubbish
    * An Audience With Freddie Starr – retro classic

I would’ve had Sky Sports Soccer Saturday on if the choice had been mine but the landlord doesn’t like football.

    + + +

Just found out that an Elvis impersonator used to live in the house. That’s true actually. I’m sure I saw his ghost in the living room one night. I was all shook up.

    + + +

There's no ghost, just your suspicious mind

    + + +

    The Facebook Bit.

    Status update of the week:

“Cnt wait 4 new year new start new me fuck the dickheads who ave hurt me this yr bt u aint keepin dwn i stand up n im proud ov wat i ave n got my dawta my fam n gd mates men cum n go my Princess fam n mates r 4 lyf”

People who read the blog who are unfamiliar with Facebook (there can’t be many) have asked if these status updates are genuine. Sadly, I have to admit, they are 100% genuine.

    + + +

Da kidz spk lyk dis. Init.

    + + +

I’ve changed the names on this status update because *Peggy* reads the blog and is a bit touchy… only joking *Peggy* you old goat!

Sat in McDonalds with Leah. Woman sits down next to us with her food alone. She had a large Big Mac meal, double cheeseburger, nine chicken nuggets and some of those cheese melt things!! She was about a size 12, so god knows where she stores it! Leah says in her very non subtle, non quiet voice ‘look how much food that lady has to herself and she hasn’t even got any kids with her, that’s greedy isn’t it mummy?’

    Someone replied:

You should have said ‘Yes, Leah, she’s a greedy fat twat.’

    + + +

One of my FB friends went on a bit of a frenzy and joined loads of groups and fan pages on the same day – why she did this I really don’t know and I really don’t care. Although I care enough to share the information with you, obviously. She joined…

    * “Why do I bother with you?”
    * “Ignoring me? Two can play that game.”
    * “Even though I hate you, I’d still shag you.”
    * “Just because I like your status it doesn’t mean I like you.”

    The nonsense continued…

    * “Stop fucking around and just tell me how you feel.”
    * “Tell me why you’re upset? I can’t – the reason is you.”
    * “When I push you away, don’t leave – it’s times like that I need you to stay.”
    * “I can switch from happy to psycho in less than two minutes … don’t go there.”

I really hope she’s not reading the blog – or if she is, she doesn’t realise I’m laughing at her. Oh, here’s some more she joined…

    * “I love knowing you bitch about me then watching you be nice to my face.”
    * “It still takes me ages to get to sleep on Christmas Eve.”
    * “I’ve just got over liking you and then you text me and I’m back to square one.”

And then there was one more…

    * “N Dubz are better than Linkin Park.”

Confirmation if confirmation was required… she’s mental.

    + + +

I did get an invite to join one group which seemed appropriate to me…

“I look at the menu for ages then just order what I always have.”

    …but in the end I didn’t bother.

    + + +

It wasn't a kiss I wanted her to blow

    + + +

This is what we pay our taxes for.

    Leicester Mercury:

“A hairdresser was caught smoking in the doorway of his salon when a council environmental health officer drove past. Matthew Charles Bates, of Michael Charles Hair Salon in Cross Street, Blaby, was fined £100 and ordered to pay £320 costs after the on-duty officer, waiting at traffic lights, looked out of her car and saw him having a cigarette in the doorway of his business.”

This salon is near where I live and the pavement by the business doesn’t attract many pedestrians as it’s not in a busy area. I doubt anyone was actually troubled by this guy having a fag outside. He’s now £420 worse off. I’ve even been into the salon and given the bloke a pack of fags and bottle of wine. I don’t know him but just wanted to show some support.

It’s typical of our over-zealous nanny state with people in jobs for the sake of being in a job and spreading misery. From what I can gather, the environmental officer was an officious jobsworth cock of the highest order. I hope she has a grim Christmas.

    Health and Safety, my arse.

    + + +

Here’s another, erm, festive-ish video worth checking out… it’s Avid Merrion’s Proper Crimbo from 2003.

    + + +

Miley Cyrus was on the telly with Alan Carr last week. She’s still a spoilt, showbiz brat – not quite in the Jordan and Katona oxygen thief envelope but give it time.

    + + +

Not as good as her dad

    + + +

Tiger Woods is taking time off golf to work on his marriage. He’s been asked to appear in a pantomime – but they’ve had to rename the show.

    “Woods in the Babes.”

    + + +

Why are con men called con men? They’re usually quite good so surely they should be called pro men.

    + + +

    Michael Jackson fans.

Ensure you win the BBC3 show ‘Move Like Michael Jackson’ by lying very still in a box.

I suppose given the standard rate of decomposition, now is the perfect time for a Thriller comeback tour.

    + + +

    I'm a bad-ass dead motherfucker cha'mone

    + + +

Have you noticed how contestants on reality shows like X Factor and Big Brother talk about going on ‘a journey’? Let’s hope that journey takes them back to where they belong – stacking shelves alongside the other non-entities in Asda.

    + + +

    Top Tips from Viz magazine:

“Cat and dog owners – your pets have no concept of Christmas. Don’t buy them a card or present. It’s just silly.”

While the Top Tips page from Viz is deliberate sarcasm, there is actually more than a jot of truth in that.

I don’t put “Merry Christmas to Johnny, Clare, the kids and Rover the dog” in my Christmas card to you – so don’t put a fucking paw print in mine.

    + + +

Separated at birth – The footballer Theo Walcott and Marvin from JLS

    Theo ?

    Marvin ?

    + + +

    And finally…

Remember this – a dog is not just for Christmas… with any luck there’ll be some left over for Boxing Day.

Michael Jackson's feeling about Madonna:Rabbi Shmuley Boteach Tapes

Michael Jackson in a 9 year-old filmed interview with his friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach says-

“I think she (Madonna) likes shock value and she knows how to push buttons on people. I think she was sincerely in love with me and I was not in love with her. She did a lot of crazy things. I knew we had nothing in common.

“She is not sexy at all. I think sexy comes form the heart in the way you present yourself.”

“They admire you and know you are wonderful and great because they are jealous, because they wish they were in your shoes. Madonna is one of them. She is jealous. She is a girl, a woman and I think that’s what bothers her…

“I get the fainting and adulation and she doesn’t.”

Michael also claims Madonna was very cold to a young child who approached their table for an autograph.

the conversations were reportedly taped in 2000 and 2001

    Friday Links

Some odds and ends to wrap up the week:

    • The auction of Cormac McCarthy’s typewriter has Brian Sorrell considering the physicality of writing.  On a related note, Thessaly La Force discusses the Olivetti typewriter itself.
    • Neko Case guest hosted on Turner Classic Movies the other night and revealed some of her top movies.  Among her favorites are Radio Days and the The Third Man, which Spinner mistakenly believes was directed by Orson Welles.
    • Leonard Cohen and Loretta Lynn will receive Lifetime Achievement Awards at next year’s Grammys.  And, if that doesn’t get your blood pumping, they’ll also present awards to Michael Jackson, Bobby Darin, and Andre Previn.  The Grammys would be hard-pressed to assemble a more disparate group.
    • As you probably know, Harry Reid commented that the resistance to health care reform was comparable to the struggles faced by those who advocated emancipation, women’s suffrage, and civil rights.  The Republicans countered that, in fact, it was their party that had supported many of those efforts, while the Democrats stalled.  Regardless of politics, I have a hard time crediting the modern GOP with anything done by the pre-1960s version of the party.   It was a completely different animal (as were the Democrats, who went through their own conversion over a thirty year period from the 1930s through the ’60s), but that matters little when the facts can be contorted to support one viewpoint or another.  It’s frustrating from a historian’s perspective, as it demonstrates an ignorance of the past at best and a purposeful misuse of it at worst.  I might have a longer post about this in the near future.
    • And, Bob Dylan released the second video in support of Christmas in the Heart.  It’s not as entertaining as the “Must Be Santa” video, which I linked to previously, but the art is interesting and the song is good, too.  Take a look, buy the album, feed some hungry people.

Chris Brown Speaks On The BET Awards

A couple of days ago, I snatched for you a copy of the Drake/Chris Brown Vibe Dual cover.  Chris Brown opens up about his views on this past BET Awards ceremony which honored the late and great performer Michael Jackson.  Chris was taken out of the show’s line up after the incident involving Rihanna.  Here’s what he had to say about it:

“It was wack. I’ll keep it a hundred. The BET Awards was horrible. I was watching it, holding my face like, ‘Oh my God this is wack’. I didn’t get it. Michael Jackson was such a big entertainer. And I’m not dissing any of the artists who did the songs. But I was expecting a lot more energy for Michael. And BET Awards usually comes hard. I was expecting them to have Usher, Omarion and even Justin. And I was expecting Ne-Yo to dance. They were so bent on not getting me there that they messed up their own show.”

Now, even though I had my thoughts and resentment towards Mr. Brown, I felt that he would have added to the show quite nicely, especially with his skill for dance.  Smh.

    Michael Jackson's This Is It

Deeply fascinating and surprisingly moving, Michael Jackson’s This Is It is the highest-grossing concert movie in the history of cinema for a reason. While it isn’t the absolute best documentary I’ve ever seen, the Kenny Ortega picture provides more than a simple glimpse at the behind-the-scenes proceedings of the massive This Is It concert tour and offers a profound portrait of the man and a performer who captivated the world.

The This Is It tour was a planned series of 50 concerts to be held at the O2 Arena in London. Jackson was to start the tour in July of 2009 and would wrap sometime around March of 2010. It was a massive undertaking, as Ortega’s documentary shows us, and it would have marked Michael’s first major series of concerts since 1997.

Unfortunately less than three weeks before the first concert date, Jackson died. With 50 cancelled shows, the potential for one of the greatest concert tours of all time came crashing down. Michael rehearsed for the massive tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and filmed it, leaving countless hours of footage behind after his passing. Ortega claimed that there was no intent to release the footage shot by documentarians Sandrine Orabona and Tim Patterson, but Michael’s passing changed all that.

Obviously there was a fair bit of controversy regarding the release of the footage in Michael Jackson’s This Is It. Many cite Jackson’s perfectionism as a reason to not release footage of him essentially practicing for the concert tour, while others see it as a cash grab. Whatever it is, it is a fascinating piece of work that highlights the magic, talent and stunning vigour of the late performer.

Michael Jackson’s This Is It is an incredibly revealing and amazingly poignant piece of work. The music is astonishing, as you might expect, and the choreographer and performance that would have greeted the world at the O2 Arena would have been spectacular. The set design is just terrific and the video footage shot for the big screen at the show is stellar, but this documentary is about more than just an incredible show.

It blows the lid off of the rumours that Jackson was too weak to tour, for starters. Here we find a singer and dancer with tremendous talent and a copious amount of real, legitimate humility towards his craft. He is constantly considerate and soft-spoken, never raising his voice or acting like a spoiled superstar towards the other performers or the concert staff. There is no hint of the weirdness or the oddity that generally accompanies the Jackson name, either, and as a result the picture never feels exploitative.

Jackson is never shown exhausted or in pain throughout the documentary, which makes the drug use and his eventual demise all the more difficult to take. His choreography is not only tricky, it is bloody fascinating. The way he builds moves on top of other moves is stunning, as is the way he constructs from abrupt edges to develop smooth, fluid movements.

With Michael Jackson’s This Is It, we are shown what never was in detail. The hard work, the passion and the energy that went into these concerts was not to be and there is something tragic about that going beyond the passing of Michael. This was his passion, clearly, and he was a man who lived to perform and blow people away. With this documentary, whether it would have been his wish or not, he has one last chance to do just that.

Propofol: A Murder Plot & A Death Hoax Part 2

    The Manufacturers of Propofol
    Who manufactures Propofol?
Several companies do but two that are significant to this story are Hospira Inc. (a spin-off company of Abbott Laboratories) and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

Hospira Inc. was founded in 2004 as a spin-off company of Abbott Laboratories.
    http://www.hospira.com/default.aspx

    http://www.hospirainvestor.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=175550&p=irol-govBio&ID=109453

Abbott Laboratories is a diversified pharmaceuticals health care company with over $29 Billion in revenue in 2008. http://www.abbott.com/global/url/home/en_US

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abbott_Laboratories

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. is an international pharmaceutical company headquartered in Petah Tikva, Israel. It specializes in generic and proprietary pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients. It is the largest generic drug manufacturer in the world and one of the 20 largest pharmaceutical companies worldwide. In 2008, its sales totalled $11.08 billion.

Abbott Labs, Two Solvay Units Sued Over TriCor Drug

    March 18, 2009 (Bloomberg)

“Abbott Laboratories has traded lawsuits with Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., based in Petah Tikva, Israel, the world’s biggest generic-drug company, and other generic makers over cheaper versions of the drug. The generic companies claim Abbott and Solvay conspired to use patents to protect the monopoly as long as possible.”
    http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aHhiXY88Y8ZU&refer=home

So we have a big lawsuits going back and forth between Abbott Laboratories and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

So Why Are These Two Companies Significant to The Michael Jackson Case?
Not long after Michael Jackson supposedly died from an overdose of propofol in combination with other drugs Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. recalled batches of propofol (there are specific lot numbers on each bottle of propofol’s label)

Recalls lots of propofol due to contamination. Teva Pharmaceuticals USA issues a voluntary user-level nationwide recall of Propofol Injectable Emulsion FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - July 16, 2009
Teva Pharmaceuticals USA is initiating a voluntary recall of Propofol Injectable Emulsion 10 mg/mL 100 mL vials, lot numbers 31305429B and 31305430B. The product lots identified are being recalled due to the presence of elevated endotoxin levels in some vials within these lot numbers. Teva has been notified of 41 propofol-treated patients who experienced post-operative fever, chills and other flu-like symptoms. Based on available information it appears that all febrile or flu-like reactions were self-limiting with spontaneous resolution. Adverse health effects, such as fever, chills, or rigors, are possible with exposure to product with elevated levels of endotoxins. Serious adverse effects, such as disseminated intravascular coagulopathy, acute respiratory distress syndrome, shock, and death, are possible with exposure to product with high endotoxin levels. For use as an anaesthetic agent, propofol should be used only by professionals trained in the administration of general anaesthesia. For sedation of intubated, mechanically ventilated patients in the Intensive Care Unit, propofol should be administered only by persons skilled in the management of critically ill patients. Customers who have Propofol lots 31305429B and 31305430B in their possession are instructed to cease using the product and return it to their distributor. Teva Pharmaceuticals USA is voluntarily recalling the aforementioned lots. FDA and CDC have been apprised of this action.

After the Las Vegas Police served a search warrant on a pharmacy in Las Vegas where Dr. Murray reportedly obtained propofol for Michael Jackson, TMZ contacted Hospira Inc. to ask them questions in regards to how health care workers can obtain propofol.

Propofol Manufacturer in MJ Case in the Dark

We just got off the phone with Hospira Inc., one of the propofol manufacturers mentioned in the Las Vegas warrant used to search a pharmacy connected to Dr. Conrad Murray. It appears law enforcement believes Hospira manufactured one of the bottles of propofol found in Michael Jackson’s home after he died. A rep from Hospira tells us “Hospira is one of a number of companies that currently produce propofol. Hospira has no information regarding the manufacturer of the alleged bottles of Diprivan/Propofol at Michael Jackson’s home. Any licensed health care provider could purchase drugs from many sources, including wholesalers and other distribution channels.” Translation … they won’t say if law enforcement has contacted the company — though we know the DEA has already contacted the manufacturers of the propofol lots found in Jackson’s home. The company also appears to be saying … once it leaves their facility, they have no idea where it goes.

Then an interesting thing occurs, even though Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and Abbott Laboratories are battling back and forth in court, Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. and Hospira Inc. come to an agreement regarding a drug manufacturing plant in Croatia and the worldwide rights to production of a chemotherapy drug. Haspiro Inc. gains worldwide rights of to the drug Filgrastim (which is used for preventing infections in people undergoing chemotherapy or receiving bone marrow transplants). Haspiro Inc. is also given the manufacturing plant in Croatia to produce this drug by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.

Hospira takes charge of biogeneric Neupogen

    Wednesday, October 14, 2009
US pharmaceutical company Hospira has acquired worldwide rights to a biogeneric version of Amgen’s neutropenia treatment Neupogen (filgrastim) in a deal which also gives it a manufacturing facility in Croatia. Hospira has acquired the product and facility from Croatian drug maker Pliva, a subsidiary of Israeli generic drugs giant Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.

This seems very strange and my question here is: Why would Teva make this deal with Haspiro, when Haspiro is a spin off company of Abbott, especially since Teva and Abott have been trading law suits back and forth? Is Teva rewarding Haspiro for something?…seems very odd to me.

The Bottles of Propofol Found in Michael Jackson’s Home
The recall of propofol by Teva Pharmaceutical Industries just after Michael Jackson’s reported death caused many people to speculate that perhaps MJ had died due to receiving contaminated propofol. We were soon assured that none of the bottles of propofol found in Michael Jackson’s home had the recalled lot numbers on their labels.

Teva: Propofol found in Michael Jackson home wasn’t from recalled lot
    By Yoram Gabison
Teva recalled 57,000 bottles of injectable Propofol early this week, after two lots at Teva’s Irvine, California plant were found to be contaminated with Endotoxin bacteria.

“Teva has voluntarily recalled two lots of Propofol after several patients who received the injections were found to have contracted fever – a side effect that has been known for years.

Teva confirms it has been approached by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration about their ongoing investigation. The DEA asked for information regarding a specific bottle in a specific lot found in Jackson’s home. The lot numbers found in his home are not those that Teva recalled. There is no relation between the two incidents, and Teva takes a grave view of any attempt to connect them.”

This story seems awfully convenient and doesn’t quite ring true to me could it be a Plan B, just in case the public didn’t buy the overdose story? Then the story could have been, Michael Jackson died from tainted propofol? It is especially fishy after I discovered the following news article regarding the propofol supposedly found in Michael Jackson’s home.

Powerful Anesthetic Diprivan Found in Michael Jackson’s Home
July 04, 2009 by Patricia Sheasley Sicilia
The DEA is working with local authorities in an investigation of at least five of Jackson’s doctors. Many of Jackson’s prescriptions were in false names, and others were unlabeled, sources told the LA Times. None of the bottles of Diprivan were labeled.

So we have two companies that manufacture propofol for use in the United States. Michael Jackson supposedly dies after being administered propofol in combination with other prescription medications. Not long after this happens, one of the companies recalls batches of propofol due to contamination. The other company is contacted by the media with questions regarding propofol, which they decline to answer. We are then assured that Michael Jackson did not receive tainted propofol because the bottles found at his home did not have the recalled batch numbers on their labels. Except, the bottles found at Michael Jackson’s home had NO LABELS so no one knows which batches these bottles of propofol are from. No one asks this question, so no one answers it either. Then one of the companies that manufactures propofol rewards the other company by giving them a drug manufacturing plant in Croatia and the worldwide rights to the manufacture of a chemotherapy drug.

Something isn’t sounding right in this scenario.

    to be continued…

The Tears of a Genius: Stevie Wonder at the Grammy Preview Party, Weeping for Michael Jackson

This was no fake. This was published on Bossip this morning and you’d think that folks had no soul at all, saying that Stevie was being fake, that he couldn’t let go, that he should have finished grieving by now. Wrong, you idiots. Wrong.

Stevie knew Michael and all the other Jacksons as children growing up within the Motown family. Some are still grieving his loss, especially Diana Ross. Imagine spending hours and hours with each other, sometimes in total silence, knowing, experiencing, enjoying. Yall are some hard generations coming up, that you cannot understand that this was not some kind of publicity plug for Michael at all, or to call attention to himself, but was a real and live expression of grief.
