Michael Jackson Autopsy Photo Leaked

This is just sad, disturbing and not cool at all! Ok so we know the King of Pop has died, yes? Well now Michael Jacksons autopsy photo has been ‘leaked’ around the tv stations in search for the highest bidder! I have not seen it nor do I particular intend on doing to be honest, I have no intentions of posting it on the blog because persoanlly I think it is disgusting how people are making money off seeing some celebrities dead body! According to The Daily Beast this is what Jackon looks like allegedly in the leaked photograph: “The image shows the late singer on a metal examination table with his eyes open. His face is stripped of any make-up and his tattooed eyebrows are the only other visible mark”

It’s believed an LA restaurant owner currently has the photo and is trying to sell it to several local TV stations.

Firstly think of his family and young children I mean do they really want to be seeing their fathers body splashed all over the internet, on google and all over tv stations? There are many sick people in the world who are really not caring about how his family or children may feel about this issue! LA Coroner’s office chief Ed Winter knows about the leaked photo and if it is publicly broadcasted it is more than likely the LAPD will be getting involved!

"This Is It"

Booklet and Ticket From the “This Is It” Tour

I know that so many of you are excited about the documentary that opens October 27. A sweet lady in London, Saba, enclosed a photo of her ticket and booklet to Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” tour that was to take place in London. I think it’s fabulous to be able to see this priceless rare ticket and booklet. She is donating this to a children’s hospital for one of the seriously ill children in London on Tuesday, October 27, 2009. She’s a great lady.

No matter what anyone says you are still going to see the fabulous entertainer at work in this documentary. Michael was always the consummate professional. He never let his fans down.

Michael would want you to enjoy this because you are able to see his last performances. I’m sure that many of you will be moved emotionally, but remember his spirit lives on and he’s still with us.

In his own words, “And my goal in life is to give to the world what I was lucky to receive: the ecstasy of divine union through my music and my dance.”

Be blessed as you watch this documentary, because that’s what Michael would want for you. Remember he loves you.

Wagner Moura recusa convite do SBT

Michael Jackson: Reflections

This post is a bit different. I watched Michael Jackson dance again today and was struck (as always) by how easy he looked as he moved. The body did what came naturally and it flowed. Every time I see it I am in awe. I went out in search of some of the things that have been written about his dancing and would like to share these links with you here. No matter what you think of the man, Michael Jackson, the dancer, was without peer in his genre. There are precious few people I have seen move like that in my lifetime. Maria Tallchief. Fred Astaire. Suzanne Farrell. A handful at best.

Enjoy this reading. Each of these pieces has something to say or show about the artistry of dance:

The New Yorker - A thought-provoking piece about Jackson’s dance moves.

NY Daily News - An interesting reflection on how Jackson’s dancing impacted today’s dance world.

Dance.com - This shows several clips of Jackson dancing, along with a brief commentary on his life.

Ah, sim, a catastrófica crise global.

"This Is It" tambien llegara a R.D.

Pop Hearts

Here’s a set of Andy Warhol style pop hearts that I made inspired in part by the Pet Shop Boys Pop Art cover.

 The first heart is fierce.

The second heart enjoys the taste of pop.

The third heart’s in pain.  It needs more pop

And the last heart’s got Madonna and Britney Spears in its eyes as it eats Michael Jackson and eyes Angelina Jolie.

A Tribute to MJ: Thrill the World Istanbul

Geçtiğimiz sene toplam 10 ülkede 4binin üzerinde dansçının katlılımıyla “The the World” organizasyonu gerçekleştirilmiş.

Harry Connick Jr's fury at blacked up faces on TV program

By Mirror.co.uk:

Harry Connick Jr reacted with fury on a TV show after a group with blacked-up faces mimicked the Jacksons.

The 42-year-old American blasted: “If I knew that was going to be part of the show I definitely wouldn’t have done it.”

He was visibly upset after the “skit” on Australian programme Hey Hey It’s Saturday. The actor and singer said: “Man, if they turned up looking like that in the United States then hey hey, there’s no more show.

“We have spent so much time trying to not make black people look like buffoons that when we see stuff like that we take it really to heart.” After an advert break, host Daryl Somers issued an on-air apology. He said: “It didn’t occur to me that we may have offended you with that act.

“I deeply apologise on behalf of all of us. I know that for your countrymen it’s an insult to have a black face routine.”

Harry was acting as a judge on the Channel 9 show  in a segment called Red Faces when a Jackson tribute band performed the song Can You Feel It?

Dr Anand Deva, an Asian plastic surgeon who wore white make-up to play Michael Jackson, said: “It certainly was not meant to be racist at all. I think Harry took it the wrong way.”

Nobody puts Swayze in the corner - a tribute to Patrick Swayze

I am rarely affected when celebrities pass away. I was not at all affected when Michael Jackson died and I actually felt the media coverage for him was way over the top which resulted in poor Farah Fawcett being overshadowed. However, I felt an overwhelming sadness about the passing of Patrick Swayze. Yes, I know that there are people dying everyday or suffering disease and that people are losing their loved ones all the time. But when I heard that he had finally succumbed to his illness that he so bravely fought, I was left feeling a little numb.  I found myself watching one of my all time favourite movies last week, Ghost, and my goodness, the tears were in overdrive, especially at the end of the movie where Sam says to Molly “It’s amazing Molly, the love inside, you take it with you” and then he disappears into heaven with the angels.  It just seems now that life is imitating art. I cannot imagine what his wife is going through right now and my heart simply goes out to her.

Patrick Swayze as we best remember him

Patrick Swayze was someone most people of my generation grew up with and women adored him. To me, he was one of the good guys of Hollywood – no airs and graces about him and he possessed pure down to earth charisma.  The man oozed sex appeal, charm, vigour and valour and he was simply too young to die right now. It is hard to comprehend that he is no longer a living person. He poised us with his masculinity, grace and sensitivity and boy oh boy, he was one good looking fella. Who can forget those sexy dance moves in Dirty Dancing, the heroic southern soldier in North and South and the classic pottery love scene with Demi Moore in Ghost?  Patrick Swayze appeared to be a man who can do anything he set his mind to – dance, sing, act and write.  He was also a skilled outdoorsman – he rode horses and he was most comfortable at home on his ranch with his many animals. I became a fan of Patrick Swayze, like most other girls of my generation, when he appeared playing the broody, sexy dancing instructor Johnny Castle in Dirty Dancing.

Most of all I have always greatly admired the loving relationship he had with his real life leading lady, his wife and soul mate of 34 years, Lisa Niemi. I find it so endearing that he has been with the same woman for all these years after having met her when she was a 15 year old student at his mother’s dance studio. With todays divorce rates sky – high let alone celebrity divorces, it was admirable to see such loyalty and love by a man who could have easily picked and choosed any woman he desired, particularly when his career was at its peak after Dirty Dancing and Ghost.  Call me old fashioned and sentimental, but I do wish there were more men like him out there.

Let me leave you with a beautiful video of Patrick and his wife dancing together at the World Music Awards in 1994. This is truly a memorable piece of footage and it demonstrates the enormous amount of talent they had as dancers and just how in-sync they were together. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain she is going through right now with the loss of her dancing partner and soul-mate. The world has lost a huge talent and I like to believe that, just like in the movie Ghost, his spirit lives on. RIP.

Michael Jackson Sues A Charity From Beyond The Grave

When Michael Jackson released Heal The World, he said that he wanted to make it a better place.

Not just for you, though. For him as well. And the entire human race. Not animals, though. They can bugger off. Michael Jackson wasn’t particularly clear about how he wanted us to heal the world, but it turns out that using his likeness and trademarks to solicit charitable donations probably wasn’t what he had in mind. Because that’s allegedly what the Heal The World foundation did, and that’s why Michael Jackson’s estate is suing it.

Shh, nobody tell them about our Shoo-Be-Doo-Be-Doo-Da-Day foundation, or we’ll be done for.

We don’t know why charities bother, sometimes. Because what’s the point of plugging away systematically at a small, focused problem? Wouldn’t it be much better to, say, set up a foundation designed to universally improve the condition of all mankind? All of it, mind you, not just the parts of mankind that are most needy. Because that’s not all mankind, is it? What about the Russian oligarchs, huh? They’re part of mankind, too. You can’t just give a handful of food to some starving orphans and not buy the Russian oligarchs a new speedboat. That’s favouritism.

That’s why we’ve got so much time for the Heal The World foundation, who we’ve literally only just heard of. The Heal The World foundation’s website says that it aims to ‘improve the condition of all mankind’, which seems like something that Michael Jackson would have approved of because he too was a fan of grand yet curiously empty statements.

But it turns out that Michael Jackson isn’t a fan of the Heal The World foundation at all. Apparently it infringes on some of his trademarks in an attempt to give the impression that the charity was approved by Michael Jackson himself, and that’s why Michael’s estate is suing it. Sorry mankind, looks like your condition won’t be improving at all for a while. AP reports:

The suit claims Jackson created a charity based on his hit “Heal the World” in 1992, but it dissolved a decade later. “Defendants’ acts of infringement and unfair competition have been committed with the intent to cause confusion, mistake and to deceive,” the lawsuit claims. The current Heal the World Foundation was formed in 2008 and trademarked its name.

Oh, this is a tricky one. Who to side with – a charity with a slightly wishy-washy catch-all agenda with a potentially dodgy sideline in donor-misleading, or the faceless suits who are actually suing a charity just so they can have the right to print the phrase ‘Heal The World’ next to Michael Jackson’s face on a range of opportunistic cash-in T-shirts whenever they feel like it?

Actually, we’re not going to side with anyone here. The only thing we’re going to take from this is that you should never, under any circumstances, start a charity based on the trademarks and lyrics of Michael Jackson. That’s bad news for the just-launched Earth Song foundation, though, which will probably have to change its slogan to something other than ‘Aaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaah Ooooooooooh Ooooooooooh’ now. Drat.
